TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND MODELING (ENCE 371)
Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to provide students principles of transportation planning and the use of mathematical models for transport demand forecasting. It covers the role and functions of models in system analysis, the different types of models and their applications.
It emphases on aggregated models for trip generation, trip distribution, modal split, and network assignment, along with estimation of model parameters with calibration, enabling student to analyze and forecast transportation demand effectively.
